Go back 1 week--to March 29. 2016---I can't believe I forgot to write about this!! We went to MADISON SQUARE GARDEN-- to cheer for one of our favorite teams--BYU in the NIT tournament semi-finals-- playing Valparaiso from Indiana. We had great seats and really enjoyed the game. Mediocre (nervous, pushing/trying too hard) play caused BYU to fall behind by quite a bit in the first half. But they must have had quite the"locker room speech"-- for they were a different team when they came back on the floor!!

They really came out to play 2nd half--Emery was everywhere!! If they had kept up the "fast track" they would have won, I think!! But Valpo had a partial answer and slowed it back down. We had a chance in the last 40 sec--but we did not play our game!! Missed cues and flat-- they "outsmarted" BYU. But it was FUN to be there. Now Elder Mumford says we don't eat out for a month to recoup the costs of our tickets. 😃 WORTH IT!!! |
