"Visitors during our Temple Break"

Upon our return from our journey to Boston, we were able to "host" some Visitors to NYC during that next week of our "Break".
First we had Elder Dave Samuelson and Sister Mary Samuelson, friends from high school and the early years of our marriage. They are currently serving as MLS Missionaries in the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission. They got permission from their Mission Pres to travel to NYC to see us.

We so enjoyed our visit and hearing of their "family news" and especially of the missionary work and   Service. They serve in the Williamsport area of the Pittsburgh mission. This was E Samuelson's first visit to NYC--( S Samuelson had come to NYC many years ago) so we did a few things we thought they would find interesting,  They had requested a trip to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum which we did on the Monday (Aug 1) of their visit. We also visited the Tenement Museum (a re-visit for us)
and we went to see the musical, Beautiful, which is the story of the life of Carole King, who actually grew up in Brooklyn, NY as Carol Klein. We also visited Brooklyn via our "walk across that famous bridge". Below are just a few of our pics taken during their visit.(We "braved" a rainstorm to get to the theater for our show "Beautiful" but came out to bright lights and the regular "very crowded streets" following the night's performances).
